Senior Software Engineer, Platform Infrastructure

Position Description:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to develop key portions of the Victrio Fraud platform and infrastructure. We’re looking for someone excited about designing and building scalable, highly available and robust solutions that are focused on our Customers’ needs. Also, we’re looking for someone that’s passionately collaborative and obsessed with continuous improvement.

As an early member of the Engineering team, you will contribute to architecture, design, and development. You’ll use python, javascript, java, web and messaging services, machine learning technologies, relational databases, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related fields
  • At least 5 years experience doing software design and development of production code under tight schedules
  • Solid experience with python and/or java
  • Experience developing distributed systems (client-server, peer-based, web services, message based)
  • Familiarity with web frameworks (e.g. pylons) a plus
  • Linux or Unix OS experience
  • Good knowledge of SQL

Software Engineering Lead, Web-Based Tools

Position Description:

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to manage a suite of internal and customer-facing tools that comprise Victrio’s Fraud platform. We’re looking for someone excited about designing and building scalable, highly available and robust solutions that are focused on our Customers’ needs. Also, we’re looking for someone that’s passionately collaborative and obsessed with continuous improvement.

In this role, you will contribute to UI and product design, sw design, and development. You will spend time with internal users of our tools, understanding their workflow, and thinking about what tools would help make their jobs easier. A key part of the job will involve coordinating between team members and actively project managing all the deliveries of the front-end sw team. Development technologies you’ll use include python, html5, and javascript.

This position is ideal for the software engineer with a strong interest in product management.

Requirements:

Engagement Manager

Position Description:

As an Engagement Manager at Victrio, you will play a key, tactical role that focuses on the management of one or more critical customer engagements with very high visibility within both companies. Engagement Managers lead groups of cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize tasks, milestones and deliverables, to size work, to create project plans, to define and manage project/initiative dependencies, to identify and manage risks, to monitor overall progress of deliverables and to communicate all of the above to both internal and external stake-holders. In addition, it is the Engagement Manager’s responsibility to work with the Sales team to identify new opportunities and to manage customer perception of Victrio’s on-going value throughout the customer lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishes solid partnerships with external customers such that customer sees Victrio as a credible thought leader and dependable partner
  • Manages customer expectations on deliverables and timelines for implementations as well as solution performance and program success
  • Initiates projects by leading alignment on project/feature scope, release planning, aligning one or more teams on project goals, create project structure, and securing cross-functional support
  • Leads weekly team meetings to make key decisions, remove obstacles and address key project issues
  • Develops strong partnerships with internal and customer IT Leadership and Business Partners to drive focus on project objectives
  • Ensures that teams meet milestones and deliverables on-time
  • Coaches team members and functional leaders to improve practices and principles, creates a collaborative environment that fosters creativity, innovation and learning; promotes continuous improvement
  • Provides visibility to project status (key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics, etc.) on a weekly basis through push status reporting (to all stakeholders, team members and interested parties)
  • Manages project/feature dependencies across multiple teams, across functions, across divisions, across stakeholders
  • Anticipates and aggressively removes obstacles that slow down or prevent project teams from delivering on project goals
  • Ensures on-going customer satisfaction with solution performance
  • Owns and delivers Quarterly Business Review presentations

Experience/Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of technical project management experience
  • 3+ years customer-facing account / engagement management, preferably in a SaaS environment
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a history of hands-on project management of large and small initiatives
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively with a high-level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while being flexible and responding to changing business and technical conditions
  • Knowledge and experience using common project management tools: e.g. spreadsheets, MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint, and shared on-line documents such as Google docs

Experience/Skills Desired:

  • Flexibility and ability to take initiative as demonstrated within a start-up environment
  • Exposure to SaaS customer lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment
  • PMI PMP or similar certification/training
  • Process and methodology development and training experience
